Prior to being elected to serve the residents of the 46th Senatorial District, I pledged to focus my work on government reform and the importance of leading by example. That is why, when taking office, it was important for me to fulfill my promises by declining the lucrative state government pension, refusing the use of a state vehicle, and providing receipts for expenses incurred instead of taking the available “per diem” vouchers that lack true accountability.
When it comes to public policy, I maintain this same commitment of openness, transparency and government reform. I am the prime sponsor of the Taxpayer Protection Act, a constitutional amendment that would protect taxpayers by limiting the out-of-control growth in state government spending. For too long, Pennsylvanians have been forced to send their money to Harrisburg to cover irresponsible levels of government spending. My legislation would institute commonsense guiderails around how taxpayer dollars are spent. Additionally, I share details about my votes and other legislation I have introduced via this website, social media outlets and an e-newsletter, which you can sign up to receive here.
As your elected official, I am here to serve you. In effort to continue being a responsible steward of your taxpayer dollars and as transparent as possible, I have added this page to my website so that my expenses are easily accessible. To view this information, click here.
