Local Schools Receive Early Childhood Education Grants
HARRISBURG – Three state grants that were awarded today will help expand early childhood education opportunities for students in Beaver, Greene and Washington counties, according to Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46). Ambridge Area School District in Beaver County will receive a grant through the Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program. The Blueprints program, which serves residents of Washington and Greene counties, was awarded grants through both the Pre-K Counts program and the Head Start Supplemental Assistance Program. The grants were announced as part of a statewide initiative that will add 2,125 new slots in Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts and 490 new slots in Head Start. The programs will be offered at no cost to families.
