Town Hall on Thursday Will Focus on Energy Assistance ProgramsThe COVID-19 pandemic has stretched the budgets of many local families, resulting in serious financial struggles that were unfathomable just a few months ago. While lawmakers work to resolve the many issues resulting from the prolonged business shutdowns mandated by Governor Wolf, a number of programs are in place to help families and businesses who are struggling with energy costs. I look forward to hosting a special virtual town hall meeting on Thursday at noon in conjunction with Duquesne Light that will focus on the variety of different programs in place to assist energy consumers in Pennsylvania, including budget billing, flexible payments, hardship grants, LIHEAP, small business resources and other assistance programs. Community residents can participate in the event in one of two ways. If access to a computer is available, they can visit: If computer access is not available, residents are encouraged to participate by phone by calling 1-408-418-9388 (access code: 132 132 4386). I look forward to hearing from you! |
